DRAWING CONNECTIONS PROCESS
With all the challenges that organizations are facing today, new and creative ways of working and learning together are needed. To address this need, I have created a new and unique visual - art based method for designing a community of practice through the DRAWING CONNECTIONS PROCESS.
Working in direct collaboration with organizational stakeholders, the DRAWING CONNECTIONS PROCESS begins with a complimentary two - hour consultation. This consultation will provide me with an understanding of the issues and / or concerns facing the organization as it pertains to how people work and learn together. This consultation will also provide organizational stakeholders with the opportunity to determine the process format that works best for everyone. The identified organizational issues and process format will also inform the type of customized creative process and design thinking exercises that will be utilized in the three components found in the DRAWING CONNECTIONS PROCESS.
The three components that make up the DRAWING CONNECTIONS PROCESS are Visual Knowing, Visual Connections and Visual Effects and serve a different function. In the first component, Visual Knowing organizational stakeholders examine and explore prior learning processes and future - learning needs. In the second component Visual Connections, stakeholders begin the process of collectively designing and developing the community of practice unique to their organization. The focus of the final component, Visual Effects is the development and implementation of an evaluation process to measure the success of the community of practice in meeting its objectives within the organization.
