The Creative Learning Design Framework is an arts based, learning design process. The Creative Learning Design Framework is comprised of three components, Visual Knowing, Visual Connections and Visual Effects. Each of the three components serves a different function; Visual Knowing explores prior learning programs and future-learning needs, Visual Connections begins the process of collectively shaping new learning programs and the focus of the Visual Effects component is the development of an evaluation process for the newly developed programs.
Within each of the three components, visual art based creative process exercises are utilized. An important part of these creative process exercises are the guiding and reflective questions used in each component. The creative process exercises used in Creative Learning Design Framework vary depending on the subject or focus of the learning program or service. Because the Creative Learning Design Framework is so flexible it can also be used to revise and revive existing learning programs.
